REDHILL Corporate Finance is the M&A specialist for the Mittelstand. Company sales and acquisitions in the mid-market have their own particular requirements and call for advisors who understand them. Drawing on more than 30 years of specialisation in this segment, we have made the values and requirements of the Mittelstand the foundation of our M&A advisory. REDHILL Corporate Finance stands for:
Management

REDHILL Corporate Finance was founded in 2018 by Kai Sessinghaus. He has been focused exclusively on advising mid-market companies on company sales and acquisitions since 1995. In more than 75 successfully completed sales and acquisitions of owner-managed and family-owned companies, he has gained a deep understanding of how to lead M&A transactions in this segment to a successful outcome.
Before founding REDHILL Corporate Finance, he was responsible for the corporate finance business of CAPEO GmbH as Managing Partner for more than 13 years. Prior to that, he was Partner and shareholder at Sannwald Jaenecke & Cie., in which the investment bank Merrill Lynch had acquired a stake in recognition of its mid-market M&A expertise. He began his career in M&A in 1995 at Dr. Ferber & Partner (today Ferber & Co). He studied in Regensburg and Berlin and completed his degree in Business Administration (Diplomkaufmann) at the Freie Universität Berlin in 1995 with distinction.
The specific requirements of mid-market M&A projects have been familiar to him for more than two decades. He also brings strong negotiation skills to difficult M&A situations, such as 1:1 negotiations or company sales in a restructuring phase.
Kai Sessinghaus is himself invested in a number of companies. As an entrepreneur and investor, he is used to thinking entrepreneurially and acting with a clear focus on results.
All mandates are personally led by him as Managing Partner – from the first outreach to signing at the notary, supported by project-based analytical resources and an established network of tax advisors, transaction lawyers and international partners who are brought in selectively as each mandate requires.
